What can I do?

You can be a part or our mission to:

“Change our communities to impact the nation,
the Caribbean and the World.”

Since we have quite a few pressing needs, it is most encouraging to hear so many people asking 'What can I do to help?.' We would therefore appreciate your pledged support in the form of any financial, physical or other contribution you may be able to give.

Prayer

There is something very special about Trench Town and the Lord is doing many positive things in these communities. The enemy is obviously hopping mad and it is clear that spiritual warfare is taking place. We believe that with prayer and fasting we will win the war, and we ask for your prayers, for all those working in this ministry.

Sponsor a student

It is in of the cornerstones of the Restoration Christian School that parents contribute to some of the costs of the services provided. Greater than the objective of cost recovery is the intention to imbue education with value and encourage the personal satisfaction that accompanies independence. Students are also encouraged to run errands and classroom chores to earn tuition, etc.

However, sponsoring is a great way for you to help our students and you will have the personal satisfaction of knowing that you have enabled one (or more) students to get through each month's schooling.

In our efforts to discourage the freeness mentality, we do not provide uniforms, unless in extreme circumstances. The cost of sponsorships, including tuition, meals and books, is:

High school student: J$2000 or US$40 or £26 per month

Remedial student: J$1500 or US$30 or £20 per month

You can set up a standing order to pay the amount directly into our bank account each month. See bank details, below). Alternatively, send us a cheque for an entire year (see cheque details, below).

One-off contribution

Although the British High Commission has allocated a certain sum, we urgently need assistance to complete classrooms. However, our most pressing financial need is for salaries, for teachers and ancillary staff.

A one-off contribution will allow us to meet specific needs at the time of the donation (see cheque details, below).

In-kind items

Please have a look at our list to see specific items we require.

Volunteering

Volunteers are always welcome

There is an urgent need for people to assist with counseling children, who admit they seemingly have no control over the things they do. Mentors and 'big brothers' or 'sisters' are also needed.

People have come to help for a week or two or even longer. They have helped with building/decorating projects or with teaching the students.

If you feel you could volunteer help in some way, please contact Lorna Stanley.
