ROBERT DIXON
"It' s a calling, it definitely is." This is how our principal describes his role as leader of our organization. "We work with some of the most vulnerable people in society, illiterate teenagers exposed to chronic violence and poverty. They have mental health needs that come with living in an environment of chronic poverty and violence." Working in this community, with this demographic requires patience, courage, determination and most of all love. One of his favourite quotes says, "Love is the only force capable of transforming your enemy into your friend." Martin Luther King Jr.
Sir Dixon, as he is called, moved from working in a commercial bank in Kingston, to working among youth in Trench Town in 2008. Since 2014, he has used his strong leadership skills, knowledge of the community, organizational and financial competencies to transition the school from the leadership of its founder Lorna Stanley and has helped it to continue to grow.
He is an elder and speaker at the Covenant City Church where he worships and a board member of other academic institutions. He is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Organization and Business Psychology from the University of Liverpool.
Most importantly, Sir. Dixon is husband to his wife Diedre and daddy to his children Joshua and Jorie-Elle.
